One of the most friendly places, hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city, where you can take a pause while walking in the city-center is the Numismatic Museum garden’s small café, a five minute walk from Syntagma (Parliament) Square.

Even if you don't get to visit the monetary history of Greece via the museum’s great collection of coins, enjoy a small coffee or light lunch-break at its fantastic garden or have a few early drinks as the coffee shop stays open until night.
Tip: On special occasions, live concerts are held here in the evening.

National Archaeological Museum

The National Archaeological Museum houses a modern coffee shop, onto the interior atrium of lush greenery, a hidden corner for rest and relaxation! It is -there is no boubt- an oasis in a world of concrete! The opening hours of the café follow the timetable of the Museum, although an entrance fee is not required.

Acropolis Museum

The café of the Acropolis Museum is located at the ground floor, next to the Museum Shop. Overlooking the exquisite archaological excavation which is just below the building, the cafe is the perfect place for beverages, sweet or light meals.

Τhe Benaki Museum, Pireos 138

The modern building of the Benaki Museum which hosts many of the Museum's temporary exhibitions has it's own corner for coffee and snacks for the visitors, before or after having browsed through the Museum and seen the exhibits.

It is located on the ground floor with a view on busy Pireos street, the oldest street connecting Athens to Piraeus, and on the quiet atrium of the Museum a meeting point in one of the busiest neighbourhoods of Athens.

An urban garden hides between the ground floor and the first floor of the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation. The atrium of the B&E Goulandris Café-Restaurant is an oasis of greenery in the heart of the city.

Between the two buildings of the Museum of Cycladic Art, in the atrium, lies a charming little Café that provides a precious oasis in the center of Athens. The traditional café in the Museum of Islamic Art, is located at Kerameikos district, a section of the old city of Athens, with a panoramic view of the city of Athens, from the Acropolis and the Pnyx to the Kerameikos Archaeological site and Piraeus. 

The museum café serves Greek coffee the traditional way, sided by sweet loukoumi, as well as soft drinks.
