Callas Lives On: The Party! vol. 3

The Maria Callas Museum celebrates the birthday of the legendary soprano (2 December 1923) by inviting the public to an unforgettable celebration!




On Friday, 05 December, from 20:00 onwards, Petraki Street (behind the Museum) will transform into a stage brimming with music and rhythm for the third edition of the street party that will light up the night with the magic of Callas!

A night full of surprises and great music, honouring the timeless legacy of Maria Callas, curated by Michalis Kamakas, who will deliver a specially crafted DJ set blending groovy funk–disco vibes with select world-music touches.

The Museum café in collaboration with a famous winery, will offer fine wines and other beverages at special prices, adding a flavourful touch to this unique event.

During the party, guests will also have the opportunity to visit the Museum’s permanent Maria Callas exhibition with a reduced general admission. They will discover the magical world of opera, as well as the life and career of the iconic artist, through an interactive journey enriched with audiovisual media, texts, objects, new technologies, and rare audio and historical artifacts.
