31st PLOES: Lumen de Lumine

From 26 July to 28 September 2025, the P. & M. Kydoniefs Foundation in Andros will host the exhibition Lumen de Lumine, held within the framework of PLOES, the Foundation’s longstanding and highly regarded visual arts institution, now marking its 31st consecutive year.

The exhibition features works by 31 contemporary artists, showcasing a diverse range of media including painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, photography, and installations. This year’s theme explores the concept of light—its various sources and qualities, its intensities and reflections, as well as its transformative nature and artistic interpretations.

True to its tradition, the PLOES programme engages each year with a pressing issue that reflects current societal, cultural, or technological concerns. In 2025, the central theme of reflection and inspiration is the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI)—a subject that continues to reshape our perception of human experience, creativity, and consciousness.

The exhibition is dedicated in honour of Carl Gustav Jung (1875–1961), to mark the 150th anniversary of his birth.
