TRAVEL TIPS
Discover Santorini “the other way"
Santorini is famous in many ways. Sunset, lifestyle, elegance, etc. But this Greek gem has more to offer. For example a Sea Kayaking tour!
A unique paddling experience, visiting the islands diverse beaches, swimming and snorkelling.
You may start from Mesa Pigadia located very near the settlement of Akrotiri and the lighthouse at the southeast end of the island. The beach is named black beach, and you can see the traditional cave houses. After a short briefing regarding the activity, head east to visit a bay with caves so-called "Indian bay" because of its shape of rocky surfaces.
If the weather permits, continue to Faros offering incomparable views to the caldera, Aspronisi and Thirasia. Return back going west, stopping on the white beach for both swimming and snorkeling in crystal clear waters. Then you can see the beach Kambia (black pebbles), and the Red Beach (due to the volcanic soil too) before you return to you base. Total route: 5 miles (depending on weather conditions).
Or how about a Stand Up Paddle experience, where you will have the opportunity to balance and maybe surf on the waves of the black beach of Perissa.
See the black beach from the sea whilst trying to balance on your SUP! And go to Perissa, one of the most famous beaches of the island. Try to paddle standing on your board. A lot of fun and swimming! Discover the very interesting coastline of Santorini island due to its volcanic nature.
