Jessica & Vincent’s wedding in Serifos
Since I was a little Girl, I dream of
ancient Greece…When I grew up, I was still attracted to Greece and I even chose old language studies at school and learnt ancient Greek for 8 years.
It was right before we took the plane to our annual trip to Greece when Vincent proposed. I was so excited and happy. Once we reached Greece, we visited the not so famous island of
Serifos and we choose to stop at a small taverna on the beach for drinks. I just sat, saw the beautiful beach in front of us, and I knew. I would be married to the love of my life right there and nowhere else. I think I had "the moment" like many brides with their dress, but for me, it was all about my venue.
It was just amazing to see all the people we love the most coming out from the ferry in this small island. People came from all over the world for us and we were surrounded my love. Just perfect. The day of the wedding was magical, the weather was so perfect. We held the most beautiful ceremony on the beach. The vows were so emotional, I just cried all time. It was a dream moment coming true. After the traditional greek dinner al fresco we started the proper party. Our first dance was a pure moment for the two of us. My dear friend Patrice Barthes – a French choreographer- created for us the steps; it was a mix of tango and traditional Greek steps. Again, it was one of the sweetest moments of my life. All our friends gave us a big surprise by dressing up in white sheets and starting a giant sirtaki ! Well and then, what can I say...we danced till 8 in the morning while the sun was rising and some guests ended up in the sea for a morning swim. The following day all the guests came to us just to say that it was the most magical wedding they’ve ever been to.
Thanks to
Adonis Kekidakis Photography, we now have the most beautiful pictures that narrate in perfection our magical time in Serifos, the best kept secret destination of Greece.
