A unique tour in Crete with Land Rover

The DAIOS COVE Luxury Resort & Villas, in cooperation with Land Rover Germany and under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Organization, is launching the “LAND ROVER ADVENTURE GREECE 2015” tour this May. Within the framework of this project, that aims to showcase and promote the island of Crete, as well as Greece, a social and e-Learning platform will be developed for German speaking travel agencies. In May 2015, sixteen designated travel agents will fly to Crete, board on six Land Rover Discovery Sport and drive through spectacularly beautiful mapped routes. The agents will be accompanied by journalists and bloggers, who will be sharing their experience live through the online social platform “LAND ROVER ADVENTURE GREECE 2015” (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Foursquare, blogs and communities). The presentation of the “LAND ROVER ADVENTURE GREECE 2015” project was held on March 3, 2015, during the Press Conference of the 2015 ITB Tourism Trade Fair. The 6 brand new LAND ROVER Discovery Sport models will start from Germany, and then will be transported to Greece through Italy, having the DAIOS COVE Luxury Resort & Villas as their final destination. The starting point of the 6-day routes of the “LAND ROVER ADVENTURE GREECE 2015” tour is the DAIOS COVE Luxury Resort & Villas. The tour will last for one week and shall cover various routes in the prefectures of Lasithi, Heraklion and Rethymno. The participants will have the chance to explore the island’s rugged mountainous terrain, see unique landscapes and discover untouched, pristine parts of Crete. Moreover, they will have the chance to combine driving with sailing in the Mirabello Bay aboard a Catamaran, and also spend a night camping in the countryside of southern Crete. From early June to late October, the six vehicles will remain at the hotel, giving guests the opportunity to live the exact same experience by selecting to drive through any of the LAND ROVER ADVENTURE GREECE 2015 routes during their holidays in Crete. In the beginning of November 2015, the sponsors will host four exclusive events in major cities in Germany (i.e. Munich, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf and Berlin), in order to present the “LAND ROVER ADVENTURE GREECE 2015” experience to the German media. During these events, the Press, sponsors, travel agents and distinguished guests will have the chance to  enjoy authentic Greek recipes, prepared by renowned Greek chefs.
