Event: The Tiger Lillies in Athens

The Tiger Lillies, the eccentric burlesque trio from London, return in January to Athens and the Badminton theatre, where, a few years ago, they presented the world premiere of the “Tiger Lillies Freakshow” to celebrate their 20th anniversary. This time, on stage we will see a ship adrift on the sea, with a crew of living dead -somewhere between the icebergs of the Arctic and the fiery Tropics- that fight against mermaids, medusas and sea monsters, as a seaman returns from hell to tell his story. The “Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, inspired by the classic poem of Samuel Coleridge, is turned into a baroque opera, with 25 brand new songs and two special video walls surrounding the group in a 3D cruise to hell.
