Komboloi, the powerful worry beads!

Although you may not see a lot of young Greeks handle kombolois, you will definitely see some older Greeks handle them while sitting in a cafe with their friends killing time. These beautifully constructed items have been part of Greek folk art for years. The materials they are made of vary. The ways someone handle them also vary. Some prefer the noisy method and other the quieter one. Both methods have a relaxing effect.
