Naxos Greece is in the center of the Cyclades islands group. It is the biggest and the greenest island of the Cyclades, a magnificent natural landscape!

Portara, the surviving entrance of an ancient temple devoted to the Greek deity Apollo, is the most distinctive of them all - and a Naxos symbol. Whatever your interests, Naxos has something for you.

Regarding museums, you shouldn't miss The Archaeological Museum of Naxos, The Temple of Demeter Museum at Gyroulas, Sagri, the Archaeological Museum of Apiranthos, and the statues of Kouros. Two of my favorite stops, on the island, are at Bazeos Tower which hosts international art events and exhibitions and the artwork in the abandoned hotel in Aliko.
Furthermore, the island has many picturesque villages, such as Apeirantos, Filoti, Chalki, and many more; you would love to explore and buy local products like cheese and citron liqueur. Whether you're looking for a day of relaxation or something more exciting, there are many options.
Moreover, one of the most popular places to visit on the island is the endless, sandy beaches. Some of them are Plaka beach, Agios Prokopios beach, Aliko Beach (Hawaii), Mikri Vigla beach, Sahara beach (Limanakia), Pyrgaki beach, Maragas beach and Orkos. With crystal clear waters and stunning views, it's easy to spend a day in the sun and enjoy your meal by the seaside at the beach tavernas or have a full day of windsurfing since it's a popular destination for water sports lovers.
