“Tilemachos Athens”: a new downtown spot for the king of meat eating
The “lust for meat” will have a new temple, where all the lovers of the intoxicating taste of a well-done steak can indulge in a taste ritual dedicated to meat. The “Tilemachos Athens”, already known thanks to its sister barbecue/grill restaurant in Kifissia, is preparing to welcome us in downtown
Athens with a renewed mood, new dishes, and an upgraded cellar. Its high-quality cuisine focuses on meat and wine. Yiorgos Tsiligiris upholds the tradition of a tested cuisine, as he knows all the secrets of good meat, at the same time exploring new taste horizons. In the space that once housed the “Cellier Le Bistro”, the «Tilemachos Athens” welcomes us with comfortable leather sofas, large chandeliers, and art deco chairs. Here, you will try tartare, carpaccio, Greek beef (sirloin, T-bone and rib-eye), Piedmontese meats from the Macelleria Danielle Oberto and Japanese Wagyu, while a bottle of wine from the impressive cellar that features two hundred labels from the vineyards of Greece, France, South Africa and New Zealand will be the perfect match for our plate. Moreover, the beautiful marble bar can be an alternative, budget version for food, and all its great treats –cold sandwiches with picanha, fillets, and steaks, and Greek-style burgers- will also be available for takeaway.
