LEVADOS mountain trail

The 9th Mountain Road Race, «LEVADOS mountain trail 2025», will take place at Livadeia, on Sunday, January 19, 2025.



The Livadeia Athletic Swimming Club, along with the Municipality of Livadeia, the Regional Unit of Boeotia and the O.P.A.ST.E., organise the 9th Mountain Road Race, "LEVADOS mountain trail 2025" which comprises the following races:

1st race
24,2 km long route

2nd race
10,7 km short route

The routes are circular with the longest one being 24,2 km. long, ascent (D+): 1530 meters , descent (D-): 1530 meters and the shortest one being 10,7 km long, ascent (D+): 650 metres, downhill (D-): 650 metres. 80% of the routes are trails, there are 6 refreshment stations for the long route and 3 for the short route.

The race route crosses the XERIA gorge, passing through the open air stone theatre, climbing up the 455 steps that lead to the chapel of Aghios Minas and continuing to Lafystion Mount (where the myth of Frixos and Elli took place), through beautiful paths in a forest with pine, fir, oak and arbutus trees, reaching Prophet Elias, at an altitude of 902 m, from where the view of Mount Helicon, Dirfy, Othri, the snow-covered Parnassos and Kopaida with Kifissos river, making up an unforgettable view.

Start - Finish: the area of the springs of Erkina (Krya).
The routes of both races start at an altitude of 179 m and reach a maximum altitude of 905 m for the first and 580 m for the second race.
The race, given that it has a positive altitude difference of more than 1,250 m, is a criterion for those interested in participating in the Olympus Marathon in 2026.

The race is open to men and women who have reached the age of eighteen (18) years. It is recommended to those who do not have such experience not to register, given that some parts of the long course have a high difficulty factor. Each participant assumes personal responsibility for the necessary medical check-up before the race and is obliged to fill in the relevant declaration during the online registration.
