The Snow Queen

Ballet in two acts

This Christmas, the Ballet of the National Opera of Odessa will present the world premiere of "The Snow Queen" at the Athens Concert Hall, a new, international extravaganza of classical dance based on the famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

The performance will be staged at the Alexandra Trianti Hall from December 14 to 30 featuring stunning sets and costumes and the participation of leading soloists.

The fairy tale tells the story of two beloved friends, Gerda and Kai. One winter day, a shard from the Devil's mirror strikes Kai's eyes. From that moment on, everything beautiful and good appears ugly and evil to him; the Snow Queen has enchanted him.

The Ballet of the National Opera of Odessa fills the Concert Hall with magical fairy-tale charm, unforgettable music, humour, and outstanding performances in the most dazzling Christmas production for the whole family!
