A Doll's House is defined as a space of questioning, deconstruction, conflict, and liberation. Ibsen's bold endeavour ignites the need to break free from social norms and to redefine oneself. A Doll's House functions not only as a feminist manifesto but also as a symbol of liberation from societal moulds, a testimony to the clash of roles and desires, a need for introspection, and a demand for communication, self-determination, and freedom.
Nora, as a symbol, reflects the face of all women and acts as a mirror of social ills and the desire to escape in search of her true self.
The Doll's House, a protected and aesthetically pleasing space, is distorted with elements of contemporary reality, revealing the signs of decay and the secrets hidden behind its walls.
The dancers – the protagonists of Ibsen's work – physically express their passions and desires. They mirror real, everyday people and invite the audience on a journey of redefinition and self-discovery.
Choreography by Tatiana Papadopoulou and music by Manolis Famellos.
The performance is suitable for ages 12+
