Sounio Challenge
The Municipality of Lavreotiki, in cooperation with Grecotel Cape Sounio Resort and the company whynot organize, on Weekend 18-19 November, 2023, the Sounio Challenge sports event.
The sports event includes two sub-sports events. On Saturday 18 November swimming races and on Sunday 19 November triathlon and aquathlon races. The municipality of Lavreotiki and the area of Sounio are a unique tourist and sports destination.
Race schedule:
Saturday November 18:
- 08.00 - 21.00: Registration services at Grecotel Cape Sounio
- 10.30: Kids Swimming 300m at the beach of Grecotel Cape Sounio
- 10.45: Swimming 1.500m at the beach of Grecotel Cape Sounio
- 10.55: Swimming 1.500m at the beach of Grecotel Cape Sounio, (Cut Off 3000m: 40min τα πρώτα 1500m)
- 12.30: Award ceremonies for Swimming Races at the finish area
- 14.30:Race Briefing for Triathlon & Aquathlon at the Grecotel Cape Sounio
- 06.30 - 11.00:Registration services at Grecotel Cape Sounio
- 07.00 - 07.50: Bike check in for ALL races
- 08.00:Start of Standard
- 08.10:Start of Sprint & Aquathlon
- 11.15:Start of Junior Aquathlon
- 11.45 - 13.30 Bike checkout
- 12.30:Award ceremonies for triathlon and Aquathlon at the finish area
