Aeschylia Festival 2024

The historic festival returns for another year to the city of Elefsina, co-organised with the 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture from Friday 30 August to Thursday 26 September 2024.

This year’s event includes theatrical performances, concerts, film screenings, and cultural proposals that highlight contemporary expression and creativity. The events will primarily take place at the iconic Old Oil Mill of Elefsina, set against the backdrop of Elefsina’s beach, a venue that has been inextricably linked with this historic festival for years.

The Aeschylia Festival 2024, one of the most consistent and long-standing festivals in Greece is celebrating its 49th year.
Elefsina, a modern city with a rich archaeological, mythological, and industrial past, is at the heart of culture and creativity, hosting numerous events that have enhanced the city’s outward-looking perspective, left a valuable legacy, and strengthened its presence on the international cultural map.
