Tour in the Island of Skyros - Atsitsa

A coastal settlement named after the nearby island and built in pine-clad region of exceptional beauty and rock formations. On the settlement beach you will find the small wagons once used to transfer minerals to the sea. Atsitsa is the preferred location of alternative tourism fans. The route from Aghios Fokas until Atsitsa is very beautiful. Carved tombs were discovered in Markesi and a fortified settlement dating back to the Early and Middle Copper age in Palamari bay (2500 – 1800 B.C.). For swimming, try the beaches of Petritsa, Kyra-Panaghia, Aghios Petros and Theotokos in the north of the island. Atsitsa is located 18.5 km west of Chora.
