Churches of Trikala

  • Aghioi Anargiri: It is the oldest church in Trikala (renovation and fresco painting done in 1575) with a trilateral curved sanctum.
  • Aghia Episkepsi: A trilateral basilica that celebrates on the day of the Assumption and Presentation of Virgin Mary.
  • Aghios Dimitrios (1580): A trilateral basilica with semi-circular curved sanctum. Its frescos date back to the end of 16th - beginning of 17th century.
  • Aghia Marina (1766): A singled space basilica with wooden roof and old icons.
  • Aghios Ioannis Eleimonas (14th century): Single aisled church with chamber, trilateral arch sanctum and frescos from the 18th century.
  • Aghios Ioannis Prodromos: Single aisled church with chamber and trilateral arch sanctum. It still preserves its wooden, gold-plated chancel and icons that date back to the 17th century. The screen of Oreas Pilis was decorated in 1853.
  • Aghios Stefanos (1896): A trilateral basilica with remarkable heirlooms.
