
On the road from Maroneia to Proskynites, you will come across the Cyclops Cave (Cave of Maroneia) with a rich decoration of stalagmites and stalactites associated according to the local tradition and the tradition of Makri to Cyclops Polyphemus. Between the villages of Maroneia and Proskynites, you can also see the Cave of Strymni, which was already inhabited during the Early Copper period.
