For the first time in Greece, the National Opera Ballet presents “The Snow Queen”, the famous fairytale of Hans Christian Andersen. The choreographer Ray Barra created a two-act romantic ballet accompanied by the music of the Russian composer Aleksandr Glazunov! (18 December at 20:00)
Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” is presented at the Greek National Opera under the direction of Arnaud Bernard. Watch the battle between good and evil, the everlasting quest for virtue and the power of love in Mozart’s best known opera on 19th of December (at 20:00) in the “Olympia” theatre.
Aladdin on Ice! Embark on the adventures of Aladdin at the Faliro Sports Pavilion (until December 19th). The story is set in the Far East providing a stunning visual backdrop. A cast of talented skaters will re-create all the magic of the orient with flying jumps and dizzying spins! Together with colourful costumes and the creative choreography program, “Aladdin” offers a truly spectacular visual extravaganza.
The distinguished Greek composer and conductor Stavros Xarhakos comes together with old and new friends to take us on a lyric journey in the most glorious moments of the Greek music history. This time Xarhakos surprises us by giving an outstanding performance at a modern venue: he is directing the 12-member orchestra K.O.E.M., ‘STATE GREEK MUSIC ORCHESTRA’, in a special series of performances on the main stage at gazARTE (until December 20th).
