This week’s artistic events brighten our reality, and take us to a world where art prevails!
On the 14th of November takes place the Dimitris Mitropoulos 50th anniversary tribute at the Athens Concert Hall (Dimitris Mitropoluos Hall, 20.30). The Ionian University String Quartet, Choir and Instrumental Ensemble will perform works by Mitropoulos under the musical direction of Miltos Logiádis.
Until the 20th of November the Skoufá Gallery hosts an exhibition of colourful portraits and paintings created by the famous Greek-Cypriot artist Michael Leventis.
For one more week, our little friends will enjoy puppet theatre performances at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation! Watch on the 14th of November the puppet show “When the red thread got lost in the woods”, performed by the puppet theatre group “ftouxelefteria”!
The city of Thessaloniki organises two remarkable events for this weekend! The Teloglion Foundation of Art holds an exhibition dedicated to Toulouse Lautrec, the bohemian artist of the Moulin Rouge; his works depict in the most exciting way the atmosphere of the turn of the century, the so-called “beautiful era” in Paris.
Under the 45th Dimitria the Folklife & Ethnological Museum of Macedonia-Thrace hosts an exhibition (“A Lesson about Tradition”) on original mock-ups and designs of traditional Macedonian architecture.
