This exhibition of retrospective nature – as it includes works from the painter’s entire career – focuses thematically on the depiction of the face and the body in various combinations (portraits, figures in the space, nudes).
Through his works, the artist offers a panorama of gazes and faces, bodies and poses, gestures and expressions. At the same time, these human figures reflect the inventiveness and evolution of the painter’s artistic idiom.
In his Anthropometrics, Dimitris Andreadakis essentially ‘confronts’ his own artistic ‘personality’, but also draws viewers into confronting themselves on an individual level and in an inner dialogue.
The exhibition is accompanied by an illustrated catalogue, with introductory texts by the art historians Iris Kritikou and Thodoris Koutsogiannis.
