Asterix in Greece

If you happen to be in the beautiful region of Epirus and, in particular, in the city of Arta, you have until December 15 to visit the temporary exhibition “50 years of Asterix. The reconstruction of the ancient world in the adventures of Asterix”.

The exhibition, hosted in the Archaeological Museum of Arta, is jointly presented by the 33rd Department of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities, the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, the French Institute of Thessaloniki and MAMOUTH Commix as a celebration for the 50 years from the first issue of Asterix.

The exhibition comprises visual and informational material pertinent to Asterix, as well as an installation with activities for children. Paper figures are sparse in the halls with the permanent exhibitions of the museum. The temporary exhibition’s material has been enriched with a section dedicated to the reconstruction of the ancient world in the adventures of Asterix.

After Arta, the exhibition will call at Crete for an islander Christmas.
