14th Athens Digital Arts Festival

The annual Athens Digital Arts Festival returns to Megaron Athens Concert Hall on 24-27 May 2018 for its 14th edition that will once again bring Athens audiences a wide range of digital arts exhibitions, screenings, live performances and workshops.

Τhe 14th Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF), whose main theme this year is “Singularity Now” – a concept closely linked with terms such as infinity, the unknown and the beginning of the universe – aims to explore the unknown future of the forthcoming technological revolution through art, science and technology.

More than 300 artists from 50 different countries from around the world will be presenting their works in this year’s festival rich and diverse four days program that will take place between 24-27 May 2018 at Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall in Athens’s city centre; the event’s main venue. Parallel activities will also take place at Syntagma metro station and Athens International Airport (AIA).

The “exhibition section” of ADAF 2018 will include a series of interactive audiovisual installations promising to immerse Megaron Athens Concert Hall visitors in the mysterious worlds of space and new technologies, whereas the “performances section” will showcase a rich program of audiovisual performances by internationally acclaimed artists, such as pioneer “living painting” (video projections onto large paintings) artist Costas Tsoclis and world-renowned multimedia choreographers Adrien M & Claire Β - but to name a few.

ADAF 2018 will also feature a series of video art and animation screenings as well as many workshops and talks aiming to bring audiences one step closer to digital arts. Moreover, this year’s ADAF “festivals of the world section” will be presenting highlights from other famous international digital arts festivals, including among others Animafest Zagreb (Croatia), Mirage Festival (France) and KIKK Festival (Belgium).

ADAF 2018 is taking place with the collaboration of the program “Bridges Cycles”.
