Archeological collections in Metro Stations

When using the underground you should know that the biggest excavation programme ever accomplished in Greece was during the construction of Athens metropolitan railway (1993-2000). Some of the 50.000 findings that came to light after these excavations are exhibited in specially designed areas of metro stations such as "Panepistimio", "Syntagma", "Evangelismos" and “Monastiraki” stations.
