Markello's tower

Markello's tower is a Venetian-style building, located in the heart of the town of Aegina. During Kapodistrias' rule, the tower housed the Governor-Lieutenancy Commission, as well as the National Fund of the Greek state. It has also been used as the Garrison’s Headquarters. Nowadays, it houses the Ioannis Kapodistrias Cultural Center as well as the "Spyros Alexiou" Foundation.
